Facts about Broome:
- Though you might not know it from the outside of our office, we are a team of 21 employees from our Personal, Commercial, and Health & Benefits departments and administrative staff.
- Our O.B. (original Broome) in insurance was Frelon Broome, who was Bob’s father and Robert and Scott’s grandfather. We are now a fourth-generation agency, with Robert’s son Trey on our team as a Business Risk Consultant. Pictured in the vintage Broome brochure: (L-R) Robert, Bob, and Frelon (seated).
- The roots of Broome Associates trace back to 1948, with the establishment of Atlas Insurance Agency. Frelon Broome founded his own insurance business in 1969 (Frelon Broome Insurance Agency), and joined with other agencies over the years, including Atlas in 1996.
