Founders Larry Moore, Larry Brooks, and Roy Donnell – originally started their careers as Nationwide agents. In 1973, the three decided to go into business together, forming the independent agency Moore, Brooks, and Donnell Insurance Services, Inc.  

Will Thacker knew that he wanted to keep growing his business as a local community agency in a time when many national agencies were buying out local businesses.  After many years of experience in the insurance industry with local community agencies including Craft Insurance in Greensboro and Faw Insurance in Wilkesboro, Will partnered with Cathy Brooks to continue the legacy of Moore, Brooks, & Donnell as Thacker & Brooks Insurance. 

Since then, Thacker & Brooks has become a preferred provider for personal and business insurance in the Greensboro community, and a name people trust when shopping for insurance products.
