About Emily
Emily Westmoreland is a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University and has been part of the Broome Insurance team since 2006, steadily growing her impact across multiple roles. She has served as Personal Risk Manager and Project & Resource Manager, and now leads operations as the Operations Manager for Legacy Insurance Partners.
In her current role, Emily oversees agency-wide operations, including IT infrastructure, HR management, marketing strategy, and administrative coordination. She partners closely with executive leadership and department heads to align operational initiatives with strategic goals. Her work includes managing vendor relationships, leading process improvement efforts, and driving technology adoption to enhance efficiency and client service. Emily also plays a central role in talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee engagement, fostering a culture that reflects the agency’s core values.
Emily is deeply committed to community leadership and service. She was a proud participant in the inaugural Leadership 4D 360 program, part of the Leadership Network of the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce and an Innovate Catawba priority. She has served on two community boards, including the Hickory Downtown Development Association (HDDA), where she held roles as Secretary and Treasurer before serving as Board President. She now continues her involvement as Past President and was honored as Hickory’s 2025 Main Street Champion for her contributions to downtown revitalization.
She also served on the advisory board of the Kappa Delta Sorority chapter at Lenoir-Rhyne University from 2008 to 2019.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, hiking with her dog, and reading.
