About Greg

Greg Childress started with Legacy Insurance Partners in 2023. Prior to joining our insurance team, he spent three years with First Bank Insurance and two years with Bankers Insurance. Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Catawba College and is licensed in the following insurance categories: property/casualty, life/health, and accident.

While Greg has extensive experience in nearly every main category of insurance, some of the markets he specializes in include churches, restaurants, HVAC contractors, construction/manufacturing, grading contractors, landscaping, private schools/daycares, and colleges/universities. One of the things Greg likes most about his work is the relationships he builds with customers, coworkers, carriers, etc. He also particularly enjoys meeting with customers to help them understand their coverages, as well as what options are the best fit for them.

Greg wants his customers to know he is someone who genuinely cares about them and the success of their business, making himself available whenever they need him. He will do everything he can to ensure all liabilities are properly covered and that his customers continually receive the best insurance options year in and year out. Greg has a strong talent for speaking with clients and making them feel comfortable, and this allows him to make sure all clients are properly insured and protected.

Greg has been married to his wife, Kaylea, since 2019 and has two daughters – Parker Ann (age 2) and Leighton James (5 months). In his free time, he enjoys playing golf.
