About Scott

Scott is a Managing Partner of Broome Insurance, and serves as Personal Insurance Consultant. His educational background includes a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989 and a Master’s in Counseling from Colorado Christian University in 1994. He attended the Insurance Executive Program in 1998 through Appalachian State University. A member of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, Scott has extensive insurance, automation, and operations management experience.

Scott gives back to the community through his involvement in the Hickory Kiwanis Club, having served as their Past President. Through his Kiwanis affiliation, Scott oversees the Terrific Kids and Bring Up Grades (BUG) program. He is also involved as a Catawba County Special Olympics Coordinator and Coach. He has served on the board for LiveWell Catawba and as a member of the core team for Healthy People, Healthy Carolinas. In his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, running, working in the yard, and spending time on and around the lake.
