About Tammy

Tammy started with MBD in 2017 and has been with Legacy Insurance Partners since it merged with Thacker & Brooks Insurance in 2023. Tammy has a long professional history working in insurance and started her career as a receptionist in 1988. Throughout her longstanding career, some of her titles have included CSR and Office Manager. Tammy holds both PC and Life licenses and has extensive knowledge of both personal and commercial insurance coverage, working as an agent for over 35 years.

Tammy underwent two years of business administration education at Guilford Tech Community College. She also holds certificates in office automation and human resources. Additionally, she has received training through the Insurance Institute of America.

One of the things Tammy likes most about her role as an agent is helping clients understand their insurance coverage and providing proper protection for important assets. She feels most rewarded when a claim goes well. Tammy goes above and beyond to help clients with their insurance needs and uses her extensive knowledge of personal lines of coverage to their benefit during every interaction.

When interacting with clients, Tammy first listens to their concerns before providing recommendations. Current and former clients can speak to her extensive knowledge of insurance products and personable character.

Tammy has been married for 36 years and has one daughter. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and doing jigsaw puzzles. She also likes spending time outdoors, particularly in the mountains or at the beach.
